Limatech 's lithium batteries have been designed to meet the most stringent requirements ofaeronautics in accordance withETSO C179b. The mechatronic architecture of ORION batteries guarantees exceptional resistance to the most stringent environmental conditions: vibrations, shocks, electromagnetic disturbances, etc.
The BMS developed integrates all the safety functions necessary for the correct operation of the battery and compliance with the standard (short-circuit protection, over/under voltage, slow/fast discharge) while communicating alerts in case of critical events.
USE THE BATTERY IN ALL CONDITIONS FOR A LONG TIME
Limatech batteries have no self-discharge, they can be stored on "Off" directly on the aircraft, and they can ensure cold starts down to -40°C thanks to an integrated heater, for more than 8 years*.

Unlike lead and nickel-cadmium batteries, lithium batteries are not carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic (CMR).
They enable aircraft manufacturers and operators to comply with the European Parliament's Directive 2006/66/EC, which aims to control the use of lead and cadmium in batteries and accumulators.
These substances are identified by the WHO among the "10 chemicals of major public health concern" and are classified as CMR substances.
